One day to go until I’ll be doing daily tours about the Festival of Britain at the Vintage at Southbank Festival with my friend Margaret. It has been hugely enjoyable researching the history behind the Festival and I’m all the more gutted that the incredible buildings – particularly the Skylon, a ‘sky needle’ and masterpiece of Fifties architecture -
